I do not like American Apparel

(ok, so I might--they have some nice plain stuff, but) I don't think people should look like Legos when they finish getting dressed.

The album art for Matt Pond PA's Last Light is the most beautiful and simple thing I've seen in a while.

So, creative rut as of late, but some things are saving me--

Leo Burnett, of Sao Paulo, created this simple yet clever ad for Arcor bubble gum.

and the Stuff White People Like blog legitimately makes me laugh out loud.

Pentagram Mini-Docu

Paula Scher, yes, but more Michael!
A little film about Pentagram design firm

a book about punk houses

Seems like a no brainer if you've ever been in one(aka hungout at all in bushwick, or new brunswick) NY times article

The Iowa Caucus is exciting. Possibly more exciting than Santa (even sub 9 years old), but also more disheartening. Obamas win for the Democrats was important, but still marginal, as for Mike Huckabee taking home the GOP majority-- save us now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

its been some time.
been making, knitting, sewing, catching up with people, listening to johnny cash, staying out of cities(sort of), reading. breaks are nice. trying to do more fine art, less design. embroidering canvas, painting, constructing. blahblahblah.
my resolutions are essentially doing all of these things more, and volunteering more.
interesting:

paintings of wants, and their prices are the approximate prices of those things in their tangible forms.
