Does anyone else think this is the creepiest thing on the internet?

Family members can make posts about their loved one's condition while in the hospital.
Also, people can comment on their predicament. So weird. It's the pinacle of the internet disguised as an intimate medium, while being wholely public.

Not creepy at all.
I know of one family who set up their own webpage for the very same reason as this. (Several members of that family were blog-savvy.) This was done so the family did not have to spend all their time answering questions.
It certainly makes it a lot easier to say what needs to be said - or what can be said - about the patient's condition. And the words only need to be said (written) once so that an upset family member does not have to fret over answering some inquiries more completely than others. Input from the patient can show their gradual improvement and/or communicate with those not at their bedside.

It is not "wholey public" because a password is needed.

Quite sensible and helpful for those of us without blogging/program coding experience.
